The Quick Answer
Barrington pool tables weigh from 121 lb (Urban 5.5 ft) to 514 lb (Monteray Slate-Tech 7.5 ft 3-in-1). Most of our 7 ft tables weigh 187 to 366 lb, and our 8 to 8.5 ft tables 252 to 396 lb. Traditional slate tables are much heavier and usually need professional installers; our Slate-Tech playfield weighs approximately 40% less than slate.
Weight decides more than you might think: how the table reaches your room, how many hands you need on delivery day, and whether it can move with you later. Here's what every Barrington pool table weighs, and how to plan for it.

Why Weights Differ
- The playing surface. Slate is a dense rock, which is why traditional slate tables are so heavy and need specialized installers. Our engineered wood playfields are the lightweight option. Slate-Tech, our high-density composite with a structural wood core, sits between them: a little heavier than engineered wood and approximately 40% lighter than slate.
- Size. A longer table has more frame and more playing surface to carry. Our 7 ft tables without a dining top weigh 187 to 226 lb; our 8 to 8.5 ft tables, 252 to 396 lb.
- Dining sets. Our 3-in-1 dining tables are among the heaviest. Each set comes with a two-piece dining top, a ping pong top, and two padded benches.
Will It Fit Through the Door?
Measure every doorway, hallway turn, stairwell, and elevator between the curb and the room before you order, and compare them with the package sizes above.
- Packages are long and flat. The largest are about 106 in long and 61 in wide but no more than 11 in thick.
- Carry them on edge. On its edge, even the largest package clears a standard 80 in doorway, so the length is what to plan for at turns and on stairs.

Moving It Into Place

- Delivery to your door. On orders from our site, Threshold Delivery is included: a two-person team with a lift-gate truck places the package just inside your front door or garage, on the ground floor.
- Bring help for the carry. Moving the packages to your room is up to you. Enlist friends or family to prevent injury or strain, or book a local moving or furniture assembly service.
- Assemble in the room. The playfield mainframe arrives pre-assembled with the felt already fitted, so there's no installer to book. Attach the lower apron, legs, and leveling brackets, about two hours on average.
Narrow stairwells or a long carry can add carrier fees. Our support team can help you plan.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a 7 ft pool table weigh?
Our 7 ft tables weigh 187 to 366 lb. The Camden is the lightest at 187 lb, and the 3-in-1 dining tables (Westmont, Monteray, and Prescott) are the heaviest at 364 to 366 lb.
How much does an 8 ft pool table weigh?
Our 8 ft tables weigh 252 lb (Arlington) and 353 lb (Urban Slate-Tech). At 8.5 ft, the Arlington weighs 317 lb and the Ashford 396 lb.
Why are slate pool tables so heavy?
Slate is a dense rock, mostly quartz, so a slate bed is extremely heavy. That density gives slate its steady roll, but it also means specialized installation, a look at whether the floor needs reinforcing, and a table that is hard to move.
Is Slate-Tech lighter than slate?
Yes. Slate-Tech, our high-density composite with a structural wood core, weighs approximately 40% less than traditional slate. It arrives pre-assembled, so there is no slate installer to book.
Can a pool table be delivered upstairs?
Threshold Delivery brings your table just inside the front door or garage on the ground floor, and the carrier can't deliver to upper levels. To place it upstairs, plan for friends, family, or a local moving service to carry it up. Our support team is happy to help you plan.
